My Imaginary Mom – When Imagination and Reality Collide is a book that documents my personal journey in searching for and reuniting with my birth mother.  For as long as I can remember, I have fantasized about meeting her.  In my mind, my birth mother was the missing link.  She held the key to the happiness I always searched for.  Meeting her always seemed like it would be nothing more than a fantasy.  It was always just wishful thinking.  I never thought I would actually be blessed enough to meet her.  But in April of 2006, my dreams came true.  The one thing I hoped for my entire life was now a reality.  I could not have prepared for all of the ups and downs that followed our reunion.  My imagination and fantasies painted a perfect picture.  Reality was not so perfect.  This is a very personal book where I share my very personal feelings in hopes my experience will help others who find themselves in a similar situation.
